## When to seek support for your child

Every child faces ups and downs and may benefit from extra support. Cartwheel is here to help if you notice some of the following changes in your child:
- Showing changes with mood, energy, or behavior
- Struggling with anxiety or frequent worries
- Having trouble with sleep or eating routines
- Struggling to keep up with schoolwork or stay motivated
- Pulling away from friends or activities they usually enjoy
- Talking about feeling down or discouraged
- Navigating major change at home, at school, or with friends
- Struggling with self-harm or having difficulty coping

## Teletherapy works—often better than in-person care

- **Find the right therapist**: Telehealth allows you to choose from a larger number of therapists and find someone who matches your child’s needs in terms of clinical experience, language, culture, insurance, and more.
- **More flexible and comfortable**: Instead of traveling to an office, kids and parents can join from the comfort of home or even a private space at school, making it easier to consistently attend sessions.
- **Increased family participation**: Family engagement is critical for therapy to be successful, and telehealth allows parents to stay engaged without having to leave home or work.
- **Meets kids where they are**: Kids and teens are digital natives, and many prefer telehealth. Therapists use creative tools like virtual whiteboards to make sessions engaging and dynamic.
